My Story

Born and raised in Southern California as a first-generation Mexican American, I grew up surrounded by the rhythm of lowrider and Chicano culture. Car shows, Sunday cruises, and community functions weren’t just events — they were a way of life. From an early age, I was captivated by the pride, craftsmanship, and individuality that defined that world.

For over 22 years, I’ve been a folklórico dancer, showcasing my heritage and honoring my roots through movement and tradition. That experience shaped my perspective — it taught me discipline, creativity, and the importance of representing something bigger than yourself. It also cemented my love for everything outside the norm.

As I entered my college years, I began creating content as a way to express who I was — a blend of vintage soul, modern grit, and cultural pride. That passion evolved into GreaserBoyJoey — a brand built to show that standing out isn’t something to hide; it’s something to own. Styles from a bygone era don’t have to disappear — they can be reimagined and revived for today’s world.

From there, GreaserBoyFitness was born. Fitness felt like a natural extension of everything I learned in dance — the structure, the grind, the discipline. In 2023, I began coaching clients in weight loss, strength, and mindset, and what started as a side hustle became a full-fledged business. Eventually, that drive led me into competitive bodybuilding, where I’ve now stepped on stage twice — each time proving to myself and my clients that hard work and discipline always win.

Today, I carry that same philosophy into everything I do — from training and content creation to how I live my life.
